Resumen: La eutanasia es una medida legislativa de reciente aplicación en el estado español. La flexibilidad y amplitud de miras, son elementos intrínsecos al Trabajo Social Sanitario que permiten identificar elementos para que la prestación de ayuda a morir se realice de la forma más óptima para el paciente y la familia. El encuadre diagnóstico de Trabajo Social identifica cuales son las causas que provocan un bloqueo y cuales los elementos facilitadores. Mediante el análisis de un caso, pretendemos incidir en la importancia que tiene la coordinación y el trabajo en equipo entre diferentes niveles asistenciales y el Trabajo Social Sanitario, este como figura clave para preservar el derecho del paciente, al ser quien identifica las dificultades y busca las alternativas para resolver la situación. Respetando el ritmo para promover el cambio, se llegó a un equilibrio emocional para realizar la eutanasia de una forma favorable, en domicilio y con los dos equipos asistenciales, en un ambiente íntimo, tranquilo y sereno.

Abstract: Euthanasia is a recently applied legislative measure. Intrinsic to social health work is the flexibility and breadth of vision, which allow the identification of elements so that the service is carried out in the most optimal way for the patient and the family. The diagnostic framework of social work identifies which are the causes that may cause a blockage and which are the unblocking elements. Through the analysis of a case, we pretend to influence on the importance of coordination and teamwork between the different levels of care and Social Health Work, this one as a key figure to preserve the rights of the patient, being the one who identifies the difficulties and looks for alternatives to resolve the situation. Respecting the timing to promote change, an emotional balance was reached to carry out euthanasia in a favourable way, at home and with the two care teams, in an intimate, calm and serene environment.
